Good Idea Grant: Ewa Elementary School Teaches Hawaiian Starlore with a Portable Planetarium

Students at Ewa Elementary School can see constellations and planets in a mini inflatable planetarium set up in the cafeteria.  The planetarium is an exciting visual tool teachers use to point out celestial bodies and changes in the night sky over periods of time.  The curriculum also includes Hawaiian star names and the histories behind them.  Video story courtesy Hawaii News Now.
